DUE BY FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 2012

GENERAL INFORMATION

Share your story of a great idea that has had an impact on patient safety and quality at your facility or within your organization.  “Great Inspirations” projects may display the following characteristics:

  • May not have specific goals, but a broader-based, general focus
  • May focus on initiatives rather than a formalized improvement project
  • May be a topic that does not lend itself to data-oriented outcomes
  • May be a project that is just getting underway and could be submitted for the Missouri Excellence in Safe Care Award next year

This is not an all-inclusive list. These posters offer a format to share your organization’s experiences with projects or initiatives that have impacted patient safety and quality. For instance, you may have institutionalized a way of educating your patients that you would like to share. Possibly, you have discovered a way to engage your staff in patient safety work. You may have found a way to involve families in patient safety initiatives. In general, “Great Inspirations” displays offer the opportunity to share the good things happening at your organization and learn from the ideas of others.

Due to the popularity of the poster displays and the limited space at our 2012 annual conference venue, we will need to limit the total number of posters displayed to 30.  This means if we receive 30 award applications, we will only be able to display the award applicants.  Please get your application in for a Great Inspiration display early!!!
